We are joined in conversation with Tye Banks. Tye is a film Director, Producer, Actor and Artist, who is passionate about entertaining viewers through the power of storytelling. Known for inventive techniques in filmmaking, Tye directs and produces content with the purpose to inspire, inform and entertain. Tye’s latest film Hit A Lick is an urban crime drama starring J. Alphonse Nicholson (P-Valley), Tray Chaney (The Wire, Saints and Sinners) and Luray Cooper (The Wire, Underground Railroad, The Highwaymen). Tye is also the founder of Liquor House Comedy and Liquor House Comedy festival. Our Topic is: Opportunities and Challenges for Independent Films.

Union Bound starred Sean Stone (Oliver Stone’s son) and Isaac C. Singleton Jr (Pirates of the Carribbean, Guardian of the Galaxy TV show). Tye Banks plays a superstition slave who doesn’t trust the Yankee soldiers.
